On December 29, the “International Fund Apsny” completed its large-scale New Year campaign organized for children's rehabilitation centers in Abkhazia. The last one we visited was “Asarkial” Center in Gudauta. Representatives of the Fund presented to the kids 60 New Year's gifts. This action was held as part of the New Year charity program organized by the “International Fund Apsny” for children's rehabilitation centers in all cities of Abkhazia.
Today, 70 New Year's gifts were sent to kids on the Christmas tree in the Ochamchyr rehabilitation center for children with disabilities. Also, the “International Fund Apsny” donated 170 sweet New Year's gifts to the schools of the villages of Chlou, Tkhina, Otap, the 1st and 2nd schools of the village of Mokva. In particular, the Mokva 1st school was provided with six heaters and a set of toys for the New Year tree.
Today, in the assembly hall of the House of Moscow a New Year's party was held for the children from the Sukhumi Children's Rehabilitation Center. Santa Claus, the Snow Maiden and the Fairytale Dwarf presented the children with a fascinating program with various contests and funny songs. At the end of the event, New Year's gifts were distributed to all the children. The holiday was organized with the support of the “International Fund Apsny”.
Today, as part of the New Year’s campaign, our foundation visited the Children's Rehabilitation Center and the Center for the Development of Children in Gal. Gifts from the “International Fund Apsny” became a pleasant addition to the holiday, which the children prepared for the guests. The event was also attended by the head and staff of the Administration of Gal.
We are grateful to the leaders of the center Irme Izoria and Maya Kvekveskiri for their dedicated work and wish that 2020 will be successful for the pupils of their centers.
The “International Fund Apsny” began its New Year marathon with a visit to the Children's Development Center in Tkuarchal. A fascinating program was prepared for the children, where they, together with fairy-tale characters, participated in exciting contests, received prizes, recited poems and circled round dances. The children's holiday was a success, it was fun and joyful. And at the end of the event, all the kids of the center received sweet New Year gifts from the foundation.
By the invitation of the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Iran and the President of the Association of Business Women of Iran, President of the “International Fund Apsny” Soner Gogua and the head of the fund’s social policy committee Yulia Gumba visited the Islamic Republic of Iran in December 2019.
Today, a meeting of the working group on the problems of the diagnosis of cerebral palsy was held at the office of the “International Fund Apsny”. The meeting was attended by the heads of all rehabilitation centers of Abkhazia, the chief physician of the Republican Children's Hospital Igor Jopua, the director of the Ashana foundation Maktina Jinjolia, and the chief physician of the Republican Maternity Hospital Bella Piliya as well as International NGO «World Vision».
These,days a trauma surgeon from the Republican Children's Hospital, the head of the trauma unit of the Military Hospital Mr. George Morokhia, who had an internship from November 10 to 30, 2019, at the Holy God’s Mother clinic in Yerevan returned to Abkhazia.
This internship was made possible thanks to our foundation, which organized and paid all expenses.
For George himself, the internship was an important event. He assisted in operations, and gained invaluable experience.
Born and raised in Turkey, the writer, translator Khairi Kutarba, who moved to Abkhazia a few years ago, celebrates his 60th anniversary.
At the Abkhaz State Library named after Ivan Papaskir a gala evening was hosted, dedicated to this event. The evening was attended by the leadership of the State Library, head of the Union of Writers of Abkhazia, friends of Khairi Kutarba and lovers of literature. During the gala evening, the participants recalled the entire career of the writer.
The leadership of the “International Fund Apsny”, the President Mr. Soner Gogua and Vice-President Mr. Maxim Gvindzhia, took part in the international scientific and practical session on the subject of the: “South of Russia in the Context of Russian-Turkish Relations”, which was held at SFU (Southern Federal University), in Rostov-on-Don on November 11, 2019

Our project "New Technologies" continues. Today we presented computer equipment to the source studies department of the Abkhaz Institute for Humanitarian Research at the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Abkhazia named after D. Gulia.
The Department of Source Studies carries out very important and useful work on the restoration and republishing of various primary sources and documents, as well as translates old manuscripts and publications.

Maxim Gvindzhiya - the Vice President of the “International Fund Apsny”, took part in the first Russia-Africa Summit, which was attended by the representatives of all African countries. 43 heads of African countries, ministers and representatives of business, created an impetus to strengthen Russian-African relations in all areas of the modern life of states.
Today, as part of our ongoing project “Apeipsh”, we visited the large family of Kogonia, living in Kutol village in Ochamchyra district.
The head of the family - grandfather - Andrei Kogonia, his wife, son and daughter-in-law raise six children, five of whom are schoolchildren. Despite everyday difficulties, there is a cozy atmosphere in Kogonia family, and the children were able to show their high marks in the.
During the five days of his stay in Abkhazia, the orthopedic surgeon Mr. Hovsep Danielyan examined 70 children with cerebral palsy and other congenital diseases of the musculoskeletal system. There were many for whom this examination was new, but there were also those to whom Ovsep Avetikovich had previously conducted operations, the positive effect of which is clearly visible.
Once again, at the invitation of the “International Fund Apsny” and the Foundation “Ashana”, an orthopedic surgeon came from Yerevan to Abkhazia. Today, in the Republican Children's Hospital an examination was conducted of children who need surgery. Previously, such operations were carried out directly in Yerevan, but now, thanks to the new equipment that the “International Fund Apsny” acquired together with its partners, “Biofarma” company, children will not have to go to Armenia, the operations will be held at the Republican Children's Hospital, together with our surgeons.

The time has come for the preparation of children for the new school year, and for large families, in which grow up from 3 or more children, this is also an additional cost.
On the eve of September 1, the Apsny International Fund held one of its ongoing projects, Agurasra. From the list of applications received by the fund, 20 schoolchildren were selected from the most needy and low-income families.
Accompanied by fund employees, parents and children visited one of the shops in the city of Sukhum, where they were able to purchase the necessary school clothes and shoes.
Today, the “International Fund Apsny” visited the Gudauta Children's Rehabilitation Center “Asarkial”. With the financial support of the Foundation, the center was renovated, which will now house an office for classes with the smallest wards of the center.

Today we visited the ASU Campus, which our foundation presented as a gift two washing machines for the laundry.
The director of the Campus Mr. Zurab Amichba showed us the building, which is equipped in accordance with all standards for a comfortable life of students. There are also lounges and a gym, a library and a reading room, and a medical room, where the first aid can be provided.
Rooms with private bathrooms and a beautiful view from the window will create all the conditions for good studying for students staying here.
The project “Mother and a child” is the first and main project of the “International Fund Apsny”, which has been continuously going on for the 4th year. During this time, 3210 babies received the “mother package”. The content of the package consists of special accessories and cosmetics necessary for the baby and a mother.
Within the framework of the “Health” project, the “International Fund Apsny”, together with our partners, the company Biofarma from Rostov-on-Don, continues to assist in equipping the surgical department of the Republican Children's Hospital in Sukhum.
Recently, the operating room was equipped with a modern operating table, and today, tools have been handed over to the Chief Doctor of the Republican Children's Hospital, Mr. Igor Jopua.

Today, the Republican Children's Hospital received as a gift of modern equipment for the operating room. This assistance was possible thanks to the efforts of the “International Fund Apsny” and our partners, the company Biofarma from Rostov.
The head physician of the hospital, Igor Jopua, thanked the audience. Today, the operating room of the Republican Children's Hospital is equipped in accordance with modern requirements.
The total cost of the provided assistance is about 900,000 rubles, and the main financial expenses were carried by the Biofarma company.
Today, representatives of the working group on the problem of cerebral palsy represented by the heads of children's rehabilitation centers of Abkhazia together with the "International Fund Apsny" and the Association of Parents of Disabled Children visited the Ochamchira children's rehabilitation center.
The children greeted the guests with bright music perfomances, which they diligently prepared together with their parents and the staff of the center.
The "International Fund Apsny" presented a large amount of household chemicals as a gift to the center.
We are deeply saddened by the tragedy at the Sheremetevo Airport on the 5th of May, that took lives of 41 passenger when the plane got fire at a landing.

Today, a presentation of the four-year activity of the International Fund Apsny was held in the conference hall of the Atrium Victoria Hotel.
The event was attended by partners of the foundation, as well as representatives of the public. Many partners expressed their gratitude for their cooperation and assistance. All noted the importance of working together to overcome the socio-economic problems faced by our state.
During the four years of the fund’s operation, about 50 million rubles were spent.

On February 12, 2015, we created our Public Organization to help those in need and try to solve at least some of the problems that our society faces.
A lot has been done in four years. Assisted hundreds in need. About three thousand newborns of Abkhazia received gifts from us in the framework of the project “Mother and Child”.
17 children with cerebral palsy were operated on in the leading clinics of Armenia. About ten round tables and international forums on social and economic issues and the development of international contacts were held.
The application for assistance in purchasing 18 heaters for classes was received by the "International Fund Apsny" from the Administration of Guada village. Today, the heaters were purchased and given to the school representatives by the members of the Foundation.The school has 40 students. The head of the administration of the village Ashuba Tsiala stated:"thanks to the assistance provided, children will be able to continue the school year in warm classrooms."
Today, in the office of the "Association Inva-Assistance" the wheelchairs were presented to disabled people.
This assistance was made possible by the joint efforts of the “International Fund Apsny”, “Inva-Assistance Association” and, most importantly, the donation of a resident of the Republic of Abkhazia, a Swiss citizen, Manfred Petritsch, who moved permanently to Abkhazia and remains indifferent to those in need. Manfred Petrich also repeatedly assisted the school in Eschera village, artists and others.
Today, the “International Fund Apsny”, together with the Republican Rehabilitation Center and the House of Moscow, organized a New Year performance for children with disabilities.
Theatrical performance amused little guests. More than two hundred children who visited the Christmas tree, received gifts from Santa.
We organize this event as part of our permanent project “Health”, as well as in our support of the Republican Rehabilitation Center for Children with Disabilities.
On the eve of the New Year, the “International Fund Apsny” presented New Year's gifts to all children's rehabilitation centers in Abkhazia.
“We carry such actions every year and the children are always glad to see our presents,” said Soner Gogua.
These gifts will be distributed by rehabilitation centers to their wards. On December 27, the “International Foundation Apsny” organizes a New Year tree event in conjunction with the Republican Children's Rehabilitation Center.
The “International Fund Apsny” together with our partner, Rostov company “Biofarma” from Rostov city provided assistance to: Gudauta, Sukhum, Ochamchira, Tkuarchal and Gal rehabilitation centers.
This assistance was provided in accordance with the applications received by the “International Foundation Apsny” from rehabilitation centers.
Air conditioners, massage tables, medical equipment, as well as equipment for teaching children with disabilities to work independently, various household appliances, office equipment and simulators, all costing around one million rubles.
Today, a meeting was held between the representatives of the “International Fund Apsny”, headed by President of the Foundation Mr. Soner Gogua, with the Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Abkhazia Mr. Vladimirov Nekrasov. From the "International Fund Apsny" Maxim Gvindzhia and Ashida Inapshba also took part in the meeting.
During the meeting, Mr. Soner Gogua acquainted Mr. Vladimir Nekrasov with the activities of the foundation, and also shared ideas about possible joint Abkhaz-Russian projects.
Today, our partner, the Foundation for Social and Cultural Initiatives of the Republic of Abkhazia, took part in the project of our Foundation “Mother and a Child”, under which we distribute gifts to newborn children of Abkhazia.
The gifts were presented to young families with under 6 months babies in the office of the Foundation for Social and Cultural Initiatives of the Republic of Abkhazia, in Pitsunda.
Thanks to the joint work with our partners, this project will continue to work in the Gagra region on a permanent basis.
Within the framework of our project “Health”, “International Fund Apsny” and ICF “Ashana” invited the leading orthopedist of Armenia to Abkhazia, who performed three complex operations for children diagnosed with cerebral palsy.

The forum, which marks the beginning of a new era of Russian-Turkish business relations, has become a landmark event in the business life not only Russia, but also in Turkey. Within the framework of the “Aguabziara” (Health) project, the “International Foundation Apsny”, together with the Fund “Ashana”, arranged the visit of a leading children's orthopedist from Yerevan. The first examination of patients took place today in Gudauta, in the Center for Social Adaptation and Rehabilitation "Asarkial". By priority, the children with cerebral palsy were examined. Those patients who, with the support of the “International Fund Apsny” and the Fund “Ashana”, underwent operations in Armenia came to the reception, and doctor was pleased with the results.
