Visit of the Parliamentary delegation of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Abkhazia.

Today an official visit of the parliamentary delegation of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the Republic of Abkhazia has begun. At the invitation of the People's Assembly of Abkhazia, a delegation consisting of Mansur Sizhazh, Khaled Alabdalla and Khaled Albakkar from the Parliament of Jordan arrived to Abkhazia with a three-day visit.

The first meeting took place in the Parliament, where the Jordanian MPs were initially received by the Speaker of the Parliament of Abkhazia Valery Kvarchia, and then the meeting continued in an expanded format with the other deputies.

This is the first visit of the Jordanian parliamentarians to Abkhazia, which could become the beginning of the development of friendly relations between our countries, - stressed all participants of the meeting.

Later, at the meeting with the Chairman of the State Repatriation Committee Mr. Beslan Dbar, the guests learned about the plans of the committee for the development of the repatriation process, as well as establishment of cultural and humanitarian contacts between two countries.

This visit is the result of the continued work of the “International Fund Apsny” to establish international relations with the countries where our Diaspora resides. In particular, during the visit to Jordan in December 2017, the delegation of the "International Fund Apsny" met with the Speaker of the Parliament of Jordan and handed him an official invitation from the Speaker of the Parliament of Abkhazia with a proposal on the exchange of delegations. During the visit to Jordan, the delegation of the “International Fund Apsny” acquainted Jordanian deputies and businessmen with the political, economic and social situation in Abkhazia, and also presented potential investment opportunities of our country. With the support of the Jordanian parliamentarians of Adygea-Abkhazian origin, we managed to establish direct relations between our parliaments and countries. So, three months after the visit of the "International Fund of Apsny" to Jordan, Abkhazia was visited by the parliamentary delegation of Jordan. "By developing relations between people, we were able to make our countries closer, and cooperation between Abkhazian and Jordanian public organizations brings positive results," said Maxim Gvindzhia.
