Visit of the “International Fund Apsny” to Moscow.

The president of the “International Fund Apsny” Sener Gogua, and the head of international relations committee Maxim Gundjia visited Moscow from 26 to 29 of July.

This trip was aimed to establish and develop relations with public organizations in Russia, as well as representatives of the Abkhazian diaspora in Moscow. Soner Gogua and Maxim Gvindzhia visited “Abkhazia” section at the Exhibition of the Achievements of Public Industry (VDNKh), where they held a meeting with the Deputy Chairman of the Russian-Abkhazian Business Council, Piotor Bereza, and shared ideas of popularization of Abkhazia and promotion of Abkhazian products in Russian market.

The Fund also held a meeting with the “Publishing House Vigil”. The “International Fund Apsny” and “Publishing House Vigil” agreed on further cooperation. In the near future, both sides will sign a cooperation agreement.

A meeting was held with Beslan Kobakhia, candidate of sociological sciences, adviser to the president of the International Association of Abkhaz-Abaza people. The meeting emphasized the importance of the development and promotion of joint projects and consolidation of all forces, as in the Diaspora as in homeland. The Diaspora should be more actively involved in the processes at homeland and public organizations can play significant role in this.

On 29 of July, the visit to Moscow was concluded with a meeting with the director of "Institute of Political Studies," a member of the Public Chamber of Russia, Mr. Sergei Markov. The meeting also discussed the possibility of the development of humanitarian and educational projects in Abkhazia aimed at establishing contacts between the youth organizations of the Black Sea basin. Development and strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties between Abkhazia and Russia by connecting the Diaspora in Russia and Turkey, and other countries may become an impetus for the development of a wide range of cooperation. The visit of the "International Fund’s” delegation to Moscow is an initial step in a series of planned visits in the future. "Fund Apsny" plans to open offices in all countries of the world, which has a large Abkhazian diaspora. Also cooperation with local organizations in the implementation of humanitarian projects would solve many social and economic problems.
