“International Fund Apsny” appealed to the Guinness Book of World Records

Yesterday, 17 November, “International Fund Apsny” sent an application to the Guinness Book of World Records for registration of the oldest person on the planet. Our compatriot, Nutsa K. Adleyba-Dumaa will celebrate her 117th anniversary in February 2017.

Nutsa K. was born in 1900 and now lives in Mokwa village (Republic of Abkhazia). 116-year-old long-liver has experienced both world wars, revolution, collectivization, Perestroika(a series of political and economic reforms of the Soviet Union) , the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Patriotic War of the people of Abkhazia in 1992-1993  and a lot of other historical events, which would be enough for several lifetimes. Nutsa K. raised two daughters, six grandchildren and has seven great-grandchildren. She was elected more than once as a deputy of the Supreme Council of the Abkhaz ASSR and was a member of the Communist Party of Soviet Union (CPSU).

Despite the fact that Nutsa K. has to stay in bed due to her state of health, she kept the presence of mind and interest in the environment.

Our fund was blessed to meet Nutsa K, during the preparation of its permanent project ”Akurantsyra” (longevity), within the framework of which it  renders assistance to the elderly, who turned hundred years old (there are more than 20 people for now in Abkhazia)
