The Abkhaz delegation paid a visit to Circassian school in Jordan

As part of the visit to Jordan, the Abkhaz delegation paid a visit to Circassian school named after Prince Hamzah in Amman, where representatives of Abkhaz diaspora study.

Since its formation, Circassian school was not only an example of good educational process, but also careful attention to the pedagogical part of the education, which attracted the attention of wife of the acting ruler at that time, who took it under her wing. Her support has contributed to the fact that the school has become one of the leading medium-sized city schools. Moreover, the queen started the construction of a new building of this school, the opening of which coincided with the birth of her son Hamzah. Since then, the school is named after Prince Hamzah.

The members of our delegation were impressed by the school, and furthermore - by attitude to Circassian Diaspora. Such fact does not occur in any country where our diaspora lives. This school is a complete secondary educational institution; the kindergarten is also functioning there. Students are trained in the Kabardian dialect of Adyga language.

"More than 1,000 students study here, the number of people wishing to study in this school is growing every year, the construction of another building of the school has started as well. In the near future we plan to send Abkhaz language, literature and history teachers from Abkhazia to Jordan to teach these subjects in school "- said Sener Gogua.

Circassian school Director kindly agreed to receive Abkhaz teachers, while noting that the introduction of Abkhaz subjects will raise the school level. In turn, the head of the school proposed to consider possibility of implementing student exchange program on holidays.

At the end of the meeting President of "International Fund Apsny" Sener Gogua wished the school leadership, teachers and students success, signed the book of honorable guests of the school and provided financial support.
