The reading and exhibition of Abkhaz artist Nugzar Logua was held in Sukhum.

The reading and exhibition of Abkhaz artist Nugzar Logua “Atskhi amshi” (Day and Night) was held in the National Library named after I.Papaskir. The event was organized by the “International Fund Apsny”.

Nugzar Logua was born in the village Chlou, Ochamchira District - painter, poet, public and political figure of Abkhazia.  His work are famous not only in Abkhazia but outside the county too. He is the member of writers union of Abkhazia and professional painters Organization in Russia. His works are presented at the galleries of Abkhazia, Russia, England, USA, Italy, San-Marino, Japan, Turkey and other states.  His colorful works expresses the artist’s wide world look, his own approach and style.  The art, for Nugzar Logua, is the endless life. The love to art appeared in his early childhood.  Nugzar Logua played a huge role in developing the Abkhaz culture.

The event gave the attendants opportunity to dip into the world of art and see the secret of his works in their own way. He told the audience about his life and creative development. He read his own poems as well as beloved poems of Abkhaz classical authors.

The audience was handed out the collection of his poems, which was published a few days ago.

Nugzar Logua is a lecturer of the graphic art department at the Abkhaz State University, the chief of the independent artist organization “Apsny-Art” and head of Culture and Education Department of the “International Fund Apsny”.
