Abkhaz language skills contest was held in Gal District.

The leadership of the International Fund “Apsny” , headed by the President Sener Gogua, met with the Gal city Administration representatives . The meeting was attended by: chairman of Culture and Education Committee of the Fund-Nugzar Logua, chairman of Apsuara Committee-Chkotua Oktay, Fund manager-Sabina Butba and representative of the Fund in Gal district-Esma Tarba. During the meeting, the Head of Gal Administration Timur Nadaraya shared information about the situation in the region, mainly in social sphere, which requires special attention and support from such organizations as the International Fund “Apsny”. We heard a lot about your significant work and appreciate efforts of the Fund, aimed at supporting low-income families, - said Timur Nadaraya.

The main purpose of the visit to Gal was to attend the Abkhaz language skills contest, organized by Gal district Education Department, where students from 6 different schools participated. The abovementioned event consisted of several nominations: written, oral, poetry competition and theatrical performance. All students were creative and prepared to the contest with a great responsibility. The winners of the contest:  Katalandziya Goga, who won in three nominations, Anna Mikava, Markhuliya Toma and School № 1 in theatrical performance.

Representatives of the International Fund “Apsny” presented prizes to winners and computer to Gal district education department.

Seeing so many talented children, we are convinced that it is necessary to provide support to students and motivate them to study Abkhaz language. Therefore, we commit ourselves to equip the Abkhaz language classes in six Gal schools and one college. Also, the Gal children's ensemble will receive financial support from the Fund - said the President of the International Fund “Apsny” Sener Gogua.
