Within the framework of "Apeipsh" project, aimed at supporting low-income families with many children, the International Fund “Apsny» employee Medjit Gogua and representative of the Fund in Gagra district Slava Sakaniya visited Bigvava family in Kolkhida village. The family, having seven children always needs help. The Fund rendered assistance and presented the family refrigerator, gas stove and water heater. "Our Fund will continue to provide support to low-income families with many children," - said Slava Sakaniya.

 

 

Medical examination of four children from Abkhazia with cerebral palsy in Armenia.

The medical examination of children from Abkhazia with cerebral palsy has started today in the medical center "Holy Virgin" in Armenia by the chief physician Nicholay O. Dalakyan. Children have passed the necessary medical examinations, in which specialists revealed the need for an urgent surgical intervention for one child, and other children need orthotics.

"International Fund Apsny" and Cultural Charitable Fund "Ashana" are sending the first group of children with cerebral palsy (Astamur Zantariya 8 years, Amin Bigvava 12 years,Azamat Chkotua 12 years and Liana Gudaliya 21 years old) for medical treatment to Armenia. Children will be operated by leading children's orthopedist-traumatologist of the Republic of Armenia.

This action is carried out within the framework of joint projects of the “International Fund Apsny" and Cultural Charitable Fund "Ashana".

Today ten students from Gudauta district were provided support within the framework of “Agurazra” project.  The staff of the “International Fund Apsny” purchased clothes and necessary back-to-school-goods for students.

Once in a month, ten students from vulnerable families living in hard financial conditions from different districts of Abkhazia are rendered assistance by the Fund.

Students and their parents expressed their gratitude to the President and staff of the “International Fund Apsny” for their kindness and support.

"International Fund Apsny" continues its work in Baslakhu village, Ochamchira district. The staff of “International Fund Apsny” visited the family of Yamze Zarakua. There are seven children in the family, the youngest one is 5 years old and the eldest is 16. Yamze brings up 7 children, three sons and four daughters, alone, without a husband. Her mom helps her in raising the children. Yamze is the only breadwinner in the family, as her mother is retired. She divorced with her husband more than two years ago, and there is no assistance and support from his side.

"International Fund Apsny" continues the "Apeipsh" project in Duripsh village, Gudauta district. The Fund representatives Asida Inapshba, Said Kvaratskhelia and Medjit Gogua visited a large family of Gena Gunba and Amina Tsimtsba, which is bringing up seven children. There are five girls and two boys in this large and friendly family: Milana, Mariana, Miranda, Minadora, Kadir, Kamug and Madonna. The oldest one is 14 years old, the youngest is 4.

The public organization “International Fund Apsny” has transferred 100 thousand Rubles to the account of the charitable organization “Ashana” for medical treatment of 10 year old Anela Lakashiya. The transfer of funds document was presented to Anela’s mother Marina Kutarba at the office of “International Fund Apsny”.

285 thousand Rubles is gathered with help of “Ashana” Fund and “International Fund Apsny” for Anela’s maxillofacial surgery. Other expenses will be covered by the Russian Fund “Rusfond”.

Tkuarchal District Hospital was opened in 1953. Maternity unit, which employs 20 people of qualified medical staff, works to present day. Among them there are those who go to work from the capital. For many years, the maternity hospital has been headed by obstetric officer Eliso Kvarchia.

The hospital is in poor conditions, major repairs weren’t carried out since the end of the war. All medical and other equipment is out of date; something is even out of order and needs to be changed.

Once in a month, ten students from vulnerable families living in different Regions of Abkhazia are rendered assistance by the “International Fund Apsny”.

Today ten students from Sukhum were provided support within the framework of “Agurazra” Project.  The staff of the Fund purchased clothes and necessary back-to-school-goods for students. The funds allocated for each is eight thousand Rubles.  The "Agurazra" project is carried out monthly and covers 80 000 Rubles each month, it is aimed at supporting students from various regions of Abkhazia.

Gita Smyr raises eight children in Agudzera village, Gulripsh district alone. Her husband Vanchka Zantariya passed away a few years ago. Considering the situation of Gita’s family, the leadership of Gulripsh District provided her with four-room apartment in a new building in Agudzera village in 2013, where she still lives with her children. The oldest daughter is 17 years old, she is graduating school this year, the youngest child is two and others are students.
